How to Paint Wood Elf Scouts(Glade Guard)

These are the first wood elves I painted in my army. I shall give you a quick overview of how I painted them: Wood Elf Scouts

For these instructions the paints you will require are: Vermin brown, Bestial brown, Scorched brown, Bleached bone, Mithril silver, Golden yellow, Skull white, Brown ink, Chestnut ink, Dark angels green, Dark flesh, Dwarf flesh.

These models were first undercoated with Chaos black spray.

The Leather: The leather armour, boots ect., were painted with a basecoat of scorched brown, which was highlighted using bestial brown. This was then further highlighted with bleached bone and finally picked out with skull white. Then the whole thing was given a wash of brown ink.

The Green, Cloak, parts of tunic: The green areas were all given a basecoat of Dark angels green. Then parts like the cloak and some of the tabbard and tunic were highlighted with roughly 3:1 parts dark angels green and golden yellow, continue the highlighting adding more yellow each time until you are left with exproximately 1:3 dark angels green and golden yellow.

The Green, Parts of tunic and tabbard: These areas were painted much like the other green exept you add Skull white each highlight instead of Golden yellow.

The Flesh: The flesh was painted with a basecoat of Dark flesh, which was highlighted with Dwarf flesh. Simply add Skull white to Dwarf flesh, until you have roughly 3:1 parts Skull white and Dwarf flesh.

The Bow: The bows darker parts were given a basecoat of Bestial brown which was highlighted with Vermin brown. The
lighter parts of the bow were given a basecoat of Bleached bone which was highlighted with skull white.

The Metal: The metal was given a basecoat of mithril silver. This was then given a wash of Chestnut ink.

This painting scheme is painted to Average level of detail.
